  • Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic Byway

    The Sheyenne River Valley National Scenic Byway stretches 63 miles featuring lilacs and berries in the spring and colored leaves in the fall. The byway runs from Baldhill Dam near Cooperstown, N.D., to Lisbon, N.D.

    Snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, hiking, biking and canoeing are all possible along the byway. Twenty-seven sites are marked including trails and bridges. Points of interest along the byway include Baldhill Dam, Rosebud Visitor Center, Clausen Springs, Walker Dam, Wadeson Cabin, Standing Rock State Historic Site and Fort Ransom.
